Toledo beat the Clippers 3-0 to conclude to the 2009 season at Huntington Park. Mud Hens starter Ryan Ketchner threw a complete game shutout and never recorded a groundball out. Toledo scored in the third when Michael Rockett reached on a fielder's choice and Will Rhymes tripled, scoring Rockett. Scott Sizemore singled to plate Rhymes. Back-to-back two out doubles in the eighth added another Mud Hens run. Frank Hermann entered in relief and recorded the last out of inning. Hector Rondon took the loss, allowing three earned runs in 7.2 innings of work. Matt Meyer pitched the ninth for the Clippers and put the Mud Hens down in order. Jordan Brown went 1-for-3 securing the International League batting crown. Jordan finished with an average of .336. The Clippers finished the season 57-85, setting a franchise record for losses.
