Former Herd championship player and 2021 Triple-A East Co-Manager of the Year, Casey Candaele will return to manage the Bisons in 2023. Casey split last season between serving as Bisons manager and interim bench coach for the Toronto Blue Jays, where he helped the Jays to a postseason berth. Casey Candaele returns to the bench in Buffalo in 2022 for his second season as manager of the Herd. A Bisons champion as a player, Candaele led the Bisons to a Northeast Division title in 2021 with a 79-47 record in a year that saw the team split their home games between Trenton, NJ and at Sahlen Field.

Along with Candaele, a majority of team's division-winning coaching staff remains intact, including three-time World Series Champion and Position Coach, Devon White. The 2022 season will be Devo's fifth season on the Bisons bench, a new team modern era record. Corey Hart will serve his fourth season as the club's Hitting Coach while Jeff Ware returns for his second season as Pitching Coach.

Development Coach Jake McGuiggan, Athletic trainer Caleb Daniel and Strength and Conditioning Coach Justin Batcher all return for their second year with the club. Dietitian Kara Terry, Mental Performance Coach Rob DiBernado and Technology Assistant Brian Sheridan are all in their first seasons with the Bisons..
