Lugnut Charities is dedicated to supporting existing programs and creating new opportunities to benefit youth in the greater Lansing community. Since its inception in September of 1996, Lugnut Charities has contributed more than $250,000 to programs and projects in the community.
From Lugnut Fountain on the plaza of Cooley Law School Stadium, where children cool themselves in the hot summer sun, to contributing emergency funds to Impression Five Science Center - Lugnut Charities is determined to give back to the community that has generously supported the Lugnuts.
Lugnut Charities is currently partnering with five local charitable organizations. Each charity will receive a custom designed package that has been created to maximize the impact of minor league baseball to help meet the specific objectives of each organization.
Each year, Lugnut Charities Night, sponsored by Dan Henry Distributing, is held to celebrate the Lugnut Charities partners, including a special "Jersey Off Their Back" silent auction with all proceeds benefiting the Capital Area United Way.
