Frequently Asked Questions
What does it mean when it says the 2020 Lugnuts season is cancelled?
It means we are not playing any sanctioned MiLB games this year as the Lansing Lugnuts. All MiLB games, including those in the Midwest League, have been officially cancelled for the 2020 season. This only applies to MiLB games, and not to any other scheduled baseball games at the stadium.
Does that mean the stadium will not be hosting any events during the year?
No. As of right now, Cooley Law School Stadium still plans on hosting the Lemonade League, special events, tournaments, and charitable functions. That will include Beerfest at the Ballpark, Battle for the Mitten, and any event that meets the capacity restrictions put in place by the State of Michigan. Stay tuned for more information on our events - including new events added to the calendar. Contact Greg Kigar at [email protected]with specific questions about events at the ballpark.
You mentioned the Lemonade League. What is that?
When life gives you lemons in the form of no Minor League Baseball season, you create your own baseball season. That's what the Lansing Lugnuts are creating: a self-contained summer collegiate wood bat league to be played in July and August entirely at Cooley Law School Stadium. The Lemonade League will be made up of current collegiate players from schools such as Michigan State, Central Michigan, Grand Valley State, Toledo, Wayne State, Lansing Community College and more. The schedule currently consists of 20 Lemonade League games.
What about the Lugnuts tickets we purchased for the 2020 season?
More information about our ticketing policy can be found HERE. Fans will have four options to pick from, including a refund. Our commitment is to put our fans first, always. As such, we will work to create solutions with each fan, to fulfill that commitment. We can't thank you enough for the support in these challenging times. For direct questions, you can email us at [email protected].
What about your office hours and Nuts & Bolts Shop, are those open?
The Nuts & Bolts Store is open Monday - Friday from 11am until 3pm. Capacity is limited to five people at this time and a mask is required for entry. The Lugnuts front office is also open, but restricted to just stadium personnel and not open to the public.
Is Cooley Law School Stadium prepared to provide a clean and healthy environment for fans?
We are doing our due diligence to ensure that Cooley Law School Stadium will be clean and healthy when the stadium is safe to reopen, working with local cleaning and sanitation companies, increasing our cleaning schedule for the full facility, and installing more hand sanitizer stations. Ensuring your health and safety is our top priority. You can see our full COVID-19 Stadium Plan HERE and provide more feedback to us by answering THIS SURVEY.
